Get Involved

Academic Teams/Chapters

Volunteering for our "Academic Competition" Activity or our hands-on Engineers Without Borders Activity involves interacting with the students and demonstrating some applications of engineering, as well as what kinds of teams an engineering student could be involved in.

For more information, please see our page on Academic Teams/Chapters, or contact Jean Hansen at Jean.G.Hansen@marsh.com.

Judge

Before the Competition Day: We need people who are willing to take some time on their own and help us to judge the SimCity cities and the essays.

At the Competition: Competition day judges for the presentations are selected from the judge list above.

For more information, please see our page on judging, or contact Jared Fattoross at jared.fattoross@urs.com.

Exhibitor/Speaker ("Meet the Professionals")

This activity will include each sponsoring firm/organization having its own table space. Exhibitors interact with the students discussing STEM-related professions, and how the student's experience of building their model ties-in with what a professional experiences in their work.

For more information, please see our page on Exhibitors/Speakers, or contact Jean Hansen at Jean.G.Hansen@marsh.com.

Mentor

Please see our page dedicated to mentoring, or contact Jean Hansen at Jean.G.Hansen@marsh.com.

Volunteer

At the Competition: We need general volunteers who are willing to help for varying tasks that come up during the competition day (input judging scores, runners, timekeeper, etc.).

Please see the competition day page for more information, including directions and parking information.

Please contact Laura Wolfe at lwolfe@hntb.com.
