Competition Day!

This year's competition day is going to be held on January 10, 2015 at Proctors Theater. Please mark your calendar! Volunteers are still needed for this event!

Alumnus of the Year Scholarship

The Capital District Future City Competition is currently accepting applications for the Alumnus of the Year Scholarship! This scholarship is available to all graduating high school seniors and current undergraduate college students and has a value of $500. To be eligible for the scholarship, you must be an alumnus of the Future City Competition - Albany, NY program and plan to attend, currently be enrolled in, an accredited engineering or engineering technology program. Applications are due no later than Friday, December 19, 2014.

Albany, New York– Albany City School District’s William S. Hackett Middle School was recently awarded a $500 grant stipend from the Henry C. Turner Prize for Innovation in Construction. Washington, D.C.– A city of the future—Marhielo—engineered by students from the New Lebanon Jr/Sr High School in New Lebanon, New York—has taken fourth place nationwide at the 2016 Future City® Competition, beating out over 1,300 teams from across the country. The radar shows that most of the rain has blown through our area, with clear skies after 5 am this morning.
