PROJECT PLAN - 10 points

There are four required parts to the Project Plan.

Full credit will be awarded to teams that complete the plan in its entirety AND submit the plan on time. Note: there is no rubric for this deliverable

DEFINE STAGE: PROJECT PLAN 1 – Set Goals

PLAN STAGE: PROJECT PLAN 2 – Schedule

DO STAGE: PROJECT PLAN 3 – Check-ins

REVIEW STAGE: PROJECT PLAN 4 - Reflect

Creating a project plan is a step that many engineers do before they tackle a big project. Creating a project plan will help guide students as they move through the engineering design process by asking them to set project goals, schedule their project, conduct periodic check-ins and reflect. The more students get involved in planning their projects, the more invested they will be and the more likely they will deepen their content understanding.

Students complete the tool to help them set goals, plan their schedule, monitor their progress and reflect on lessons learned.  The Project Plan will be used with each component of the project and must be submitted by January 14, 2016 along with the Essay/Narrative.

The 4 parts are detailed in the Program Handbook (page 21–22, 48–55) and can be found in the Resources section of this website (filter for Competition Forms & Project Plan). See download below.
