The Minnesota Regional Future City Competition will take place on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at Dunwoody College of Technology, 818 Dunwoody Blvd, Minneapolis, MN 55403
Free parking is available in the Dunwoody lot. There is a pull up area by the main doors to drop off city models. Enter the building through the main entrance.
7:30 to 8:15 a.m. teams check in (main entrance lobby) and set up models in classrooms or hallways. Coffee, hot chocolate, and breakfast treats for all (McNamara Student Center/Dining Hall)
8:00 to 8:30 a.m. - orientation for city model/presentation judges (Holden Center/Green 37) and for special award judges (Black 10)
8:15 a.m. - team welcome (McNamara Student Center)
8:30 to 11: 45 a.m. - city model/presentation judging and special awards judging (only students, teachers, and engineer mentors, and approved adult chaperones allowed in judging areas)
9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. - sponsor displays (outside of McNamara Student Center)
11:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. - lunch (McNamara Student Center), public viewing of models, Students' Choice award voting, demonstrations by Dunwoody faculty
1:15 p.m. - top 5 teams announced
1:15 to 1:35 p.m. - move to Decker Auditorium/Gymnasium for afternoon judging (all are invited to watch)
1:45 to 4:00 p.m. - final 5 presentations, special awards given out
4:00 to 4:15 p.m. - final awards ceremony; first place team announced
The first place team should plan to stay 30 minutes after the event ends in order to receive information about traveling to the National Future City Competition in Washington, DC.
