Mickey Irwin

Has not missed participating in a Future City Competition since 7th grade.

Mickey began competing in Future City as a 7th grader in Ohio. Future City was the “first time that I had a chance to create something of my own and to think about how I could learn about and use science to make the world a little better," he said. Since competing himself, Mickey has returned to the Ohio regional competition every year to serve as a volunteer, judge, or mentor. He studied environmental engineering at Ohio State University and is excited to now be designing water treatment plants for ARCADIS.
