Idaho Information for Sponsors

January 20, 2018 is the date of the 14th Annual National Engineers Week Future City - Idaho Regional Competition in Boise, Idaho. In the competition, the nation's largest engineering education program, 7th and 8th grade students first create cities on computers using SimCity software, and then build three-dimensional scale models. Students also write a brief abstract describing their city and present and defend their designs before a panel of engineer judges. The Future City Competition is a proven program that helps encourage students to pursue engineering careers and helps teachers meet science, math, social studies, arts, and language art curriculum requirements.

Bronze ($100)

Silver ($200)

- same as Bronze level and

Gold ($300)

- same as Silver level and ad on the website
- sponsor a Special Award
(you name the award, the criteria, and provide judging at the competition)
Future City provides plaque to winning school.

Platinum ($500)

- same as Gold level and
- may hang a banner at the competition
- may have a table in the lobby area at the competition
- special recognition at the competition
- special recognition on the web site

The name and description of Special Awards are needed by January 5th, 2018 so that the student teams can be notified of their options. Thank you very much for your generous support.
