Future City Recognized at BSCES Annual Awards Dinner

On July 16th, the BSCES Annual Awards Dinner was held in Cambridge, Massachusetts. With an attendance of 180 the evening was spent celebrating the year's accomplishments of which included two recognitions of Future City.

The first was the great efforts of Suzanne Collins, of Birchland Park Middle School, who have been involved in the program for over 15 years. As a STEAM and Coding teacher she has helped many of her students to take part in Future City. Her efforts were recognized with the award for Pre-College Educator of the Year. The award couldn’t go to a more dedicated educator and we are thrilled to see our educators recognized for all of their efforts inspiring the next generation.

The second was recognition of the efforts of the Regional Co-Coordinator, Alyson Stuer who was recognized as the Citizen Engineer of the Year. Alyson's involvement has a lot of positive impacts. She is working hard to expand the region including securing the new venue, WPI for the upcoming competition year.

Please congratulate both of them for this honor and thank them for making Future City a better competition.
