Can more than one team per organization compete?

It depends on the region in which you are competing. Check with your Regional Coordinator. They may be offering one of the two formats or they may have devised another strategy:

• Option A: One team from each organization is allowed to compete in the Regional Competition. If an organization has multiple teams, the organization will hold intramural competitions prior to the Regional Competition, to select the top team to represent their organization.
• Option B: Multiple teams from an organization are allowed to compete in a "run-off" competition prior to the start of the "official Regional Competition". The "run-off" competition and "Regional Competition" may be held the same day. After the "run-off" competition, the organization’s winning team will compete in the Regional Competition.

How many software packages are available for each registered organization?

Each registered organization will receive one code to download a copy of the SimCity software (PC) or a copy of MAC software with their registration materials.  Additional copies of the software or download codes are available (while supplies last) by emailing a request to info@futurecity.org .

Our team started late (we did not register until the end of October). Is there any flexibility in the submittal deadlines?

While the Future City Competition is intended to be a fun learning experience, the deadlines are in place so the volunteer judges have sufficient time to evaluate all of the submissions before the January Regional Competitions. Contact your Regional Coordinator if you think you might miss a deadline; in some cases late submissions are accepted with a small points penalty.
