Future City is a program of DiscoverE, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing global resources, programs, and connections between K–12 students and STEM professionals. Our region partners with the FC–Houston Foundation (EIN #86-2545989) through an affiliation agreement to support the Texas (Houston) Regional Future City Competition.

2027 Theme:
The 2026–2027 Future City Competition theme, “Fire Resilient Future,” challenges students to engineer a futuristic city 100 years away that can effectively prevent, protect against, and recover from catastrophic urban wildfires and disasters in the Wildland-Urban Interface (WUI).
